The Nāfuel are the followers of Virūpākṣa (Pāli: Virūpakkha), on the list of 4 Heavenly Kings who guards the western direction. They work as guards on Mount Sumeru, protecting the dēvas of Trāyastriṃśa from assaults from the asuras. This text may well have irrelevant references to well known tradition.
