Vijayadashami is considered a good day to start something new, so many families buy gold coins, chains or small silver items. Choose a piece you will actually use, buy hallmarked gold and keep the bill. Books, tools and vehicles are also blessed that day, so a coin or idol makes a handy gift. DAR Jewellery, a jewellery shop in Coimbatore, offers Vijayadashami collections online. https://www.darjewellery.com/category/jewellery/vijayadashami
